Gracie whelped eight puppies via c-section on Feb
14, 2007. She had 7 boys and ONE girl. I guess our decision was
made for us on who we were keeping. We're not the least bit disappointed,
however, she is beautiful inside and out.
All puppies were robust and healthy right from the
start. Once again, we're very thankful to Dr Perger and staff
for the excellent care they gave to Gracie and the newborns. Thanks,
also, to Louise and Bill Roland for flying over to help with the
delivery and settling in. Bill was our official photographer for
the whelping and Louise kept an eye on the status of the pups
while I stayed with Gracie in the operating room.

We have now temporarily named the puppies to give
them (and us) a sense of individuality instead of pack mentality.
These names will be changed when they go to their new homes, but,
nonetheless, we enjoy it much more than puppy 1, 2, 3. Lara's
name, of course, will remain the same since she is staying right
here.
